FAQ
When should I book my senior session?
The ideal time to reserve your photo session can vary depending on personal preferences and the availability of your photographer. We recommend reserving your session in late summer/fall prior to your graduation.
For example, if you graduate in May/June 2024, you should complete your session the late summer/fall of 2023. I know it feels like its too soon but I promise it is not.
Getting your session done early puts you ahead of the game. When March/April arrive, you will have a thousand and ten things on your plate (i.e., prom, school activities, after school job, etc.) Plus the weather is always tricky around that time too.
You must also allow time for editing and delivery of your final products. Factor in a few weeks for this process, especially if you want to use the photos for graduation announcements and other time-sensitive purposes.
If you miss the summer/fall window, you can still book a spring session but sooner is always better to get your preferred session date.
How many pictures will I get to see?
For a 2-hour photoshoot with multiple outfit changes, you will review between 40-50 images. I always choose quality over quantity by selecting the best and most distinct poses that showcase your style, personality, and ultimately commemorates your special occasion.
What does the session fee cover? Does it include any images?
The session fee/retainer covers the time and talent of your photographer to plan, prepare, and execute your amazing photoshoot.
The session fee is non-refundable. Print and Digital Products are priced separately. This fee is required in order to secure your photoshoot date on our calendar.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We do offer payment plans up to 3 months for our Senior collections. We can set up a plan that best meets your needs. Due to the custom nature of our work, print products and/or digital products are not released until account balance is paid in full. Keep this in mind if you have specific timing requirements.
How many outfits changes are included with my session?
At AJP, you are not limited in the number of outfits you can wear but the core objective is to photograph you wearing a minimum of 3 different outfits. This will give you a nice variety of images.
We highly recommend you bring at least 4-5 different outfits so we can best match the outfit to the location/environment. It's also easy to change up your look with a hat, jacket, scarf, jewelry, etc.
We also encourage you to bring props and accessories to enhance your experience. We will talk through ideas during your planning session.
Where is your studio located?
Effective February 1, 2024, AJP will move from her Northside Studio location. A new studio location is TBD.
We are still taking studio appointments until the end of January 2024.
